I have never performed an age assurance check, so this is probably a bug. This may be related to me not being on a mushroom; perhaps the admins of my PDS made their own attempts to neuter age assurance?

I notice that Blacksky's social-app fork doesn't have the age assurance bullshit; and so does my private fork which I call Voidsky (I neutered age assurance checks there myself, in my own janky way).

Blacksky implementation may be the cleaner one, because it just gives me my NSFW content controls like usual:

What would be the best next steps to debug this? I can dive into the witchsky code myself and try my hand at fixing this — perhaps with my experience in jankily neutering AA in Voidsky I may be able to find the remnants and clean them up.
