Permission denied (publickey) after adding ssh key from bsky account #201

open opened by exoticorn.tngl.sh

I logged in with my bsky account, created a new repository, added my ssh key in settings. When trying to push I got the error git: git@tangled.org: Permission denied (publickey). I'm assuming my ssh key wasn't synced to the knot? I did make sure the correct ssh key was offered using ssh -v git@tangled.org.

I waited about 15 minutes to make sure the key sync wasn't just delayed a bit.

I then created a tngl.sh account and repeated the same steps, resulting in a successful push.

Yes, I have deleted the key, since I feared that having the same ssh key for two accounts will lead to problems, in case the key will eventually sync. (Maybe I'm wrong and one ssh key can resolve to two dids?)

I now added a different ssh key, and this time I'm able to connect with it. Sorry for deleting the initial key, that probably makes it harder to figure out what went wrong that first time.
