when talking about html in a comment, ppl will tend to write

please dont use <div>s everywhere

which will show up as

please dont use s everywhere

doing

please dont use &lt;div&right;s everywhere

works, but it should render as literally that (meaning &lt;div&rt;), not "<div&rt;"
