I just signed up to tangled and completely missed that you could use an existing handle (i.e. bluesky signup). I signed up with my email and then had to delete my account when I found out that I should've logged in with my existing account.
Firstly; you have an instinct to press "join now" on the homepage rather than think you can login with an existing account with your already setup domain handle, especially if you enter your email in the hero and follow the flow.
Then the "Already have an AT Protocol account?" message is blended with the terms and conditions line, in terms of visual priority/weight on the signup page. It's very easy to miss.
I also think the wording is confusing but I think this might be an atproto project standard issue (though frontpage.fyi has a nicer method, I think, though not perfect).
I don't really have a proposed fix, other than making it more obvious that you can use an existing account on signup.
