<p>There's where everything started. This laptop has accompanied me throughout my life for 11 years. I made tons of videos and silly stuff there when i was a kid, using pre-installed apps like CyberLink PowerDirector. This was also the device where i played Roblox around 2017, way before my actual account was created.</p>

<p>Also, it came with Windows 8.1, and in 2024, i dual-booted it with Linux Mint, and upgraded the original OS to Windows 10.</p>

<p>As of 2025, this laptop has a problem; after hours, even minutes, the laptop turns off by itself and it won't turn on. And since the first time i got this problem, i considered it dead.</p>

<p>Today i wanted to give a try on seeing if my old laptop, the HP Pavilion 15-P247SA, can boot. My laptop has that one problem where, after hours, it turns off by itself and it won't boot nor charge anymore (even though it doesn't have a battery lol). I sometimes dream with my old laptop still working, and it actually worked!</p>

<p>During the miracle, i was thinking it would die again soon, so all i did was backup some stuff. And besides that, i changed its hostname to "cofi" and upgraded all packages to their latest version on my Linux Mint partition.</p>

<p>On the Windows partition, i was trying something called O&O ShutUp10, a tool that disables everything Windows telemetry. While i was trying it, it suddenly turned off by itself. It wasn't ShutUp10's fault, obviously; it might be the power inside the laptop that makes it suddenly shut down and prevent me to turn it on. So yea, i'm gonna consider my old laptop "dead" again.</p>
